Privacy
bjork.live has no accounts, no adverts and no tracking by other companies. It keeps simple counts of how the archive is used. Nothing is stored in your browser to do this: no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting.
What is counted
- Each page view. A small script in the page sends the kind of page and the record it shows, your browser's time zone and language, the website that linked here if there was one, and whether the page was kept open for ten seconds. From the time zone we note a country and region; there is no lookup of your network address. From your browser's description of itself we note only the kind of device.
- How many different people visited each day. Your network address and your browser's description of itself are turned into a code with a secret key that is made new each day. The code cannot be turned back into the address. When the day ends, the codes and that day's key are deleted and only the total is kept, so visits on different days cannot be linked.
- What people do here. The words searched for on this site, addresses that do not exist, audio played, calendar files downloaded, and the website of any link followed off this site. None of it is connected to a person or to any other count.
Switching it off
Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser and no page views or visitors are counted. A content blocker has the same effect. Searches and audio are counted by the site itself, whichever you choose; nothing that identifies you is kept with them.
Other sites
Videos are embedded from YouTube and links lead to other sites, including shops and the page for contributing to the hosting. Those sites have their own privacy terms. Some links to official releases and tickets earn this archive a small commission; the site they lead to may record that you arrived from here.
